SAP Appeal for Financial Aid Probation
If you've been notified that you're not meeting Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) and have the option to appeal, follow your school’s instructions to submit a SAP Appeal for Financial Aid Probation and work with your advisor to create an Academic SAP Plan to regain your financial aid eligibility.
Appeal Submission Deadlines
- Fall Semester: November 1
- Spring Semester: April 1
- Summer Semester: July 15

You will be assigned a dedicated advisor to help you create a SAP plan—please do not schedule a regular advising appointment for this purpose. If you don’t hear from us within two weeks of receiving your SAP notice, contact your class year dean for support.
School of Environmental and Biological Sciences
Submit the SAP Appeal Form to SEBS Office of Academic Programs at sap@sebs.rutgers.edu. If you do not get a response in 2 weeks, follow up with vaidya@sebs.rutgers.edu.
Book an appointment only with a Dean in the SEBS Office of Academic Programs after you receive confirmation that your SAP plan is created and you’re eligible using the SEBS Chat or call 848-932-3000 ext. 2.
Note: You can only schedule an appointment after receiving an email confirming your SAP Appeal Plan is ready and you're eligible.
