Well-respected in the learning assistance field, Dr. McGuire is an internationally recognized chemical educator, author and lecturer who has traveled the globe promoting sure-fire strategies to help students to be successful in their coursework and careers. As Director Emerita of the Center for Academic Success and retired Assistant Vice Chancellor and Emerita Professor of Chemical Education at LSU, Dr. McGuire has presented workshops at over 500 institutions in 48 states and 14 countries. Recognized as an Eduflow Top 100 Learning Influencer, her book, Teach Students How to Learn: Strategies You Can Incorporate into Any Course to Improve Student Metacognition, Study Skills, and Motivation, is a Stylus Publishing bestseller. The student version, Teach Yourself How to Learn: Strategies You Can Use to Ace Any Course at Any Level, was released in January 2018.
