Rutgers–New Brunswick offers funding for students based on financial need, exemplary academics, and other unique skills. There are also special funds set aside if you find yourself in an emergency situation. You can also find resources for paying your term bill, setting up tuition payment plans, and managing your money.
A majority of students work part-time, gaining valuable skills and income, while building your resume and network. Research shows that students who work part-time while in college not only learn valuable skills, but also tend to earn more when they graduate. Find something you love with jobs available both on- and off-campus, as well as Federal Work Study opportunities, all covering a range of skills and interests.

The Innovation, Design, and Entrepreneurship Academy's Design Research summer program (IDEA-DR) is a 10-week internship experience for first-year students. IDEA-DR is a summer agency that provides research services to New Brunswick non-profits, government agencies, and industry. IDEA-DR internship teams conduct community-engaged research and design projects with IDEA's New Brunswick client and community partners. The work contributes to meaningful human-centered design products, processes, and services.

The myGuest dashboard allows you to give parents, guardians, and third parties access to view content and services related to your experience at the university, such as your class schedule, financial aid awards, and term bill. While the university is offering this service, access will not be granted without your permission due to the protection of student rights under the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA).

The On-Campus Work Experience Network (OWN) is a unique and customized program that will supplement your Federal Work-Study job placement through interactive leadership workshops to explore connections to potential careers and strengthen professional skills and your ability to leverage them, along with a cohort of your peers. In addition to leadership workshops OWN participants are paired with a supervisor who has agreed to serve as a mentor dedicated to your success.

The One Stop Student Services Center (One Stop) at Rutgers University–New Brunswick represents an integrated and coordinated cross-functional service in the areas of financial aid, student accounts, and registration. Acting as a “single point of service” across these areas to promote a progressive, simplified, and consistent student experience and a culture that supports student satisfaction and success. The One Stop embraces a model that:
- Prioritizes strong customer service and effective use of technology
- Serves all student populations
- Reflects best practices in higher education
- Includes improving self-service options

All students at Rutgers University-New Brunswick receive an email copy of the One Stop Weekly every Tuesday via RAMS (Rutgers Automated Mail Service). This weekly e-newsletter provides timely and important information related to academics, health, safety, and finances.
