The Hatchery Innovation Studio is an innovation and creation space located on the basement level of Alexander Library. It includes a range of flexible, collaborative spaces for student groups to reserve for projects, meetings, and events.

A dedicated space for all Rutgers students interested in creating, building, tinkering, and designing. Used by faculty for teaching and brainstorming projects and prototypes, the Makerspace is open daily to all students and run by trained undergraduate staff. In addition to CAD computer work stations, the Makerspace features 3D printers, a spindle engraver, a laser cutter, a vinyl cutter, a sewing machine station, and a full range of hand tools, as well as electronics and microcontroller equipment.

The Livingston Makerspace is free to all current Rutgers faculty, staff, and students. We offer a large variety of DIY equipment including 3D printers, electronics, framing, laser cutters/engravers, woodshop, textiles, and more! You can work on a class project, pursue your favorite hobby, or spark your entrepreneurial spirit.
- Semester Hours: Monday-Friday, 1-9 p.m.
- Winter Break/Summer Hours: Monday-Friday, 12-5 p.m.

Each Student Center has a variety of community and collaborative spaces for students to gather, engage, and study in. All of our spaces have access to WiFi and electricity. Students can participate in a variety of activities in these spaces from connecting with friends, taking part in group study, or finding a corner to study alone.

The Learning Centers offer a variety of spaces and technologies for students to use individually or with peers. These spaces range from open areas for studying, to small group meeting rooms with screen sharing technology, to large group meeting rooms with whiteboard walls. THRIVE Student Support Services (SSS) is a federally funded TRIO program designed to empower undergraduate students to persist through college, maintain good academic standing, and graduate on time. THRIVE SSS supports low-income, first-generation and/or students with disabilities students successfully begin and stay in college. THRIVE SSS provides opportunities for academic development, assist students with basic college requirements, and to motivate students toward the successful completion of their postsecondary education. The goal of THRIVE SSS is to increase the college retention and graduation rates of its participants. THRIVE SSS Scholars receive academic tutoring; advice and assistance in postsecondary course selection; information on both the full range of student financial aid programs, benefits and resources for locating public and private scholarships; and assistance in completing financial aid applications. Education or counseling services designed to improve the financial and economic literacy and assist in applying for admission to graduate and professional programs. individualized counseling for personal, career, and academic information, activities, and instruction designed to acquaint career options; exposure to cultural events and academic programs; mentoring programs and Student Success Award. These services are exclusive for students who meet the eligibility requirement to be part of THRIVE SSS in New Brunswick.
