RUWireless Secure is the secure wireless (Wi-Fi) network available to the Rutgers community. You should connect to RUWireless Secure when you're at university locations for complete, encrypted use of Wi-Fi at Rutgers.

Rutgers student email is called ScarletMail (Google Workspace for Education) and can be accessed at http://mail.scarletmail.rutgers.edu/ or via myRutgers.
During NetID activation, you set an Official Rutgers Email Address in the form of firstname.lastname@rutgers.edu. Email sent to this address is delivered to your ScarletMail inbox. To manage your email configuration, go to netid.rutgers.edu and click “Manage Email Addresses.”
Reading ScarletMail through any other mail program, such as on a phone, requires a separate ScarletApps mobile/IMAP password. To set up your mobile password, go to netid.rutgers.edu and click on “Manage Your ScarletApps Mobile/IMAP/POP Password.”
The ScarletApps suite provides additional enhanced communication and collaboration tools, such as Gmail, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides, Calendar, and Sites.
Alumni can continue to use ScarletApps services forever, providing a lifelong link to the many resources available to the Rutgers community.

ScarletPitch is a university-wide competition for Rutgers-New Brunswick undergraduates to present innovative ideas that tackle global challenges. Whether it’s a social action project, a startup venture, or another big idea, this platform empowers students to showcase their creativity and make an impact!
Participating teams can win cash prizes and have the opportunity to represent Rutgers at:
- UPitchNJ: A statewide competition held in May. One Rutgers team will be chosen at ScarletPitch to represent Rutgers at UPitchNJ.
- Hult Prize: An international competition with semi-finals in June. One Rutgers team will be selected at ScarletPitch to compete in the Hult Prize semi-finals.
Applications for ScarletPitch open in December each year.
The competition is held annually on the last Friday in February.

Each Student Center has a variety of community and collaborative spaces for students to gather, engage, and study in. All of our spaces have access to WiFi and electricity. Students can participate in a variety of activities in these spaces from connecting with friends, taking part in group study, or finding a corner to study alone.
