TOPxRutgers is the interdisciplinary student team representing Rutgers University-New Brunswick in the yearly TOP University Design Sprint. The Opportunity Project (TOP) brings technologists, government, and communities to rapidly prototype digital products—powered by federal open data—that solve real-world problems for communities across the country.

Every semester, about 25 students are engaged in research with faculty members in physics or astrophysics, either as part of a 2-semester senior honors project or individual research projects. Rising seniors demonstrating academic excellence are invited to complete a 2-semester honors research project. Students interested in research in physics can also contact upd@physics.rutgers.edu for special permission to conduct research for credit.

Launched in 2002 with funding from the Pew Charitable Trusts, the Young Elected Leaders Project (YELP) studies and works with young people who run for or hold public office. We provide unique insight into youth representation in U.S. political institutions and study young leaders' experiences in public office.
