  • Throughout the semester, a variety of circumstances may lead you to consider whether you should remain enrolled. The best decision will be determined by a variety of factors: the specific circumstances, the number of degree credits earned, the time in the semester, money paid or owed, and academic goals.

    If you receive financial aid, withdrawing can impact Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) and future eligibility for financial aid.

    The terms "withdrawal" and "leave of absence" are often used interchangeably, and both allow for re-enrollment. Before withdrawing, review the checklist of all considerations and discuss what is best with a financial or academic advisor.
