  • The Mason Gross Office for Advising and Student Success is made up of a team of experienced academic advisors/student success counselors who specialize in helping students achieve their goals, understand their options, connect to resources, and identify their personal path to a successful academic and professional career. A student’s relationship with their advisor is key to their academic success and offers an opportunity to exchange ideas, discuss options, and discover answers. Advisors engage students in conversations about their education and life goals and want to learn about how individual students thrive and ultimately succeed in their degrees and careers. Through these conversations, advisors strive to empower students to make independent decisions and claim ownership of their accomplishments.

  • The SEBS Office of Academic Programs (OAP) supports all SEBS undergraduate students throughout their academic journey from initial orientation through graduation. OAP oversees all academic issues for students, including registration, transfer credit, major declaration, academic progress for financial aid, academic standing, and graduation certification. The office is located in Martin Hall, Room 109, on the Cook Campus.

Deans and academic advisors help guide students in creating an academic plan that satisfies their academic and career goals, as well as connecting students to Rutgers resources. All SEBS first-year students are assigned a first-year advisor; once students have declared a major, they are assigned a faculty advisor. Students can find their assigned advisor's name by logging in to mymajor.sebs.rutgers.edu. All SEBS students are encouraged to meet with an advisor at least once per semester.

Students may contact the SEBS Academic Programs office via email, call 848-932-3000 x2, or use Online Chat at sebs.rutgers.edu during office hours.
