    This panel will consist of members of Aresty RURJ, the Writing Program and Research Writing Conference, and past and current undergraduates who have been published in peer reviewed journals.  This session will allow participants to speak to the merits of engaging in research, their experiences applying for publications, and positive impact of getting published. 
  • Research Discovery Sessions to be held September 18-22.
    During Success Weeks, faculty and supporting units will also host “Research Discovery Sessions” at different locations across campus to expose students to research in its many forms. Additionally, essential supporting units will offer sessions to discuss the resources that complement the positive outcomes of students’ research and academic experiences.

Want to teach at Rutgers?  Attend an information session about the FIGS Peer Instructor experience! First-Year Interest Group Seminars (FIGS) allow Rutgers undergraduates to develop a course that addresses their area of study and essential information for students transitioning to college. Learn more about the application and selection process from FIGS staff and former Peer Instructors (PIs). Attendance is not required to apply.

Applicants must be full-time Rutgers New Brunswick undergraduates in their sophomore or junior year with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (3.2 preferred). Candidates must be enrolled as a Rutgers junior or senior in the Fall 2024 semester and have at least 24 credits. All applicants must have at least one full semester completed at Rutgers University at the time of application. Peer Instructors are in good academic and disciplinary standing, have strong leadership skills from meaningful campus and community involvement, and demonstrate a strong knowledge of the academic discipline of their course.
